Give back to your community in a meaningful way
Board of directors are the voice and driving force of our organization. They are responsible to drive the vision for UWIB through meaningful programming and fostering a community where every member feels that they belong.
Meet new people
As an organizer, your role will expose you to members, other community organizers, event speakers, and local entrepreneurs. You will be a part of a team that spans across Chicago, New York, D.C. chapters as well as our National distributed team.
Build and flex your skills
Many board of directors use this position to build a new skill, try a new role, or fortify their strengths. You will have the opportunity to shape your role and work on your personal professional development.
What are the commitments?
Respect our mission and community guidelines
Attend monthly chapter meetings as well as two annual planning sessions.
Support and plan local events.
