It is important to take the time to heal and self-care. Want to know how? Join us!
UWIB is excited to partner with Kelly Visconti, a meditation and mindfulness practitioner, in a first-time partnership to provide attendees with an accessible introduction to mindfulness and meditation. Meditation has been shown to improve focus, reduce stress and help tame the “monkey mind.” This class is designed for those with no previous meditation experience and those with a “beginners mind.” Join us to learn how meditation can help you find inner calm and be more compassionate and skillful navigating life’s uncertainties.
Attendees will gain practical tools and techniques to kick start their own meditation practice through experiential learning in this introductory session and resources to sustain it. Get comfy, take a deep breath and join us for a class your mind and body will thank you for!
What You'll Get:
An introduction to mindfulness and meditation concepts.
A foundation to start your own practice and suggested resources to sustain after class.
A safe place to ask questions and learn what to realistically expect from practice.
Guided meditations to improve your awareness of sensations, thoughts and emotions.
Practical ways to bring mindfulness into daily life and connect with Kelly!
