Submission Guidelines
Share Your Voice. Shape the Conversation.
We’re excited to offer UWIB members (not a member yet? Click here to join for free!) the opportunity to contribute unique blog posts. Whether you're writing about your personal career journey, how you landed that promotion, lessons from entrepreneurship, industry trends, or the intersection of identity and leadership—we want to hear from you.
To maintain a strong, respectful, and inclusive space for our readers, we ask that all contributors adhere to the following guidelines:
Submission Guidelines
Audience: Content should speak to the UWIB community, which includes professional women across industries and career levels. We welcome posts that address the community as a whole or focus on specific groups—such as students, early-career professionals, entrepreneurs, or seasoned leaders.
Tone: Posts should be respectful, informative, and encouraging. We welcome both personal storytelling and thought leadership, but submissions should align with UWIB’s mission and values.
Length: Posts should be between 500–1,000 words.
Formatting: Please include a title and clearly structured subheadings or paragraph breaks to make the content easy to read online.
Byline: Include your full name, your LinkedIn, a one-sentence bio (title, company, location), and a headshot if you'd like one featured.
Images: You’re welcome to include 1–2 relevant images if you own the rights or have permission to share.
Promotion: While we love highlighting our members’ businesses and work, promotional content should feel organic and valuable to the reader—no sales pitches, please.
Review Process: All posts will be reviewed by the UWIB editorial team for clarity, tone, and alignment with our brand voice. We may make light edits for grammar or formatting and will reach out with any significant changes.
Please send your draft or pitch idea to mikala.rempe@uwibfoundation.org with the subject line: UWIB Blog Submission – {Your Post Idea}
